NASA’s Crew-13 astronauts arrive at Kennedy Space Center ahead of October launch

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13 astronauts arrived at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on September 26, 2026, ahead of their planned flight to the International Space Station. The four-person crew will now complete quarantine and final preflight preparations.

The crew includes NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.

When did the crew arrive

According to NASA’s official report, the crew landed at Kennedy Space Center at 12:56 p.m. EDT on September 26 after travelling from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The flight included a brief refuelling stop in Mississippi before the crew continued to Florida.

What happens before launch

The astronauts will spend the remaining days before launch in quarantine and completing final preflight operations at Kennedy Space Center.

The mission is SpaceX’s 13th crew rotation mission for NASA and its 14th flight carrying NASA astronauts to the space station, including the Demo-2 test flight.

When is Crew-13 scheduled to launch

NASA currently targets liftoff no earlier than 11:10 a.m. EDT on Thursday, October 1, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The October 1 date is a target, not a completed launch. The mission remains subject to final preflight preparations and launch conditions.
