Minimum wage in the Czech Republic will rise to CZK 24,900 in 2027
The minimum wage in the Czech Republic is set to rise again from 1 January 2027. The government has approved a new monthly minimum of CZK 24,900.

For employees comparing job offers, this creates a new legal pay floor for 2027 and gives employers a clear benchmark for wage planning.
Minimum wage in the Czech Republic in 2026
According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the minimum wage in 2026 is CZK 22,400 per month or CZK 134.40 per hour for a 40-hour working week.

What changes from January 2027
The MPSV announcement published on 7 September 2026 confirms that the new minimum will be CZK 24,900 per month and CZK 148.30 per hour.
The increase is based on the automatic valuation mechanism in the Labour Code, which links the minimum wage to the forecast average wage.
What employees should check
The legal minimum is a gross amount before tax and insurance deductions. Actual net pay depends on tax allowances, social and health insurance, contract type and other payroll factors.
Employees whose current salary is close to the minimum should check their contracts and payroll conditions before the new rate takes effect on 1 January 2027.
