How to Prove Income and Housing Costs Through Jenda

For a new application, income and housing expenses are assessed for the three calendar months preceding the month in which you apply. The assessment covers the entire household, not only the person submitting the application.

Some information can be obtained automatically from employers, public authorities and energy suppliers. However, applicants may still need to provide a rental agreement, proof of actual payments and other documents requested in their Jenda account.

What you need before using Jenda

You can access Jenda using Czech electronic identification, such as Bank iD or Mobile Key eGovernment.

Depending on your situation, prepare:

• a rental, sublease, accommodation agreement or proof of ownership;
• consent from adult household members;
• information about the income of all household members;
• proof of rent and service payments;
• electricity, gas or heating information where required;
• information about savings, vehicles and additional residential property.

How to prove income through Jenda

Income information must cover every member of the household. For employees, Jenda can use the employer’s company identification number, IČO, so the Labour Office can request salary information directly from the employer.

Income paid by the Labour Office or Czech Social Security Administration can generally be checked through public systems. For self-employed people, relevant income data may also be obtained from the Czech tax authorities.

If Jenda creates a separate task requesting evidence, upload the document directly through your account. An adult household member may also receive an individual task and provide their own information.

How to prove housing costs through Jenda

For rented accommodation, you may need to prove both your legal right to live in the property and the payments actually made.

Rent and service charges can usually be documented with:

• a bank statement showing the payment;
• a payment confirmation;
• a SIPO payment record;
• another document clearly showing the amount, date and purpose of payment.

A rental agreement alone may not be enough when Jenda asks for evidence that the rent was actually paid.

Electricity, gas and energy costs

For electricity and gas, applicants can provide the supply-point identifiers EAN or EIC. These allow the Labour Office to obtain certain information directly from the energy supplier.

If automatic verification is unavailable, Jenda may request invoices, bank statements, SIPO records or other proof of payment.

The calculation of housing support also uses an energy allowance. For households below the relevant income threshold, actual energy costs may be considered under the statutory rules. Which three months should you submit?

For a new application, use the three completed calendar months before the month in which the application is submitted. For example, an application submitted in August uses income and housing costs from May, June and July.

This is important because documents from the wrong period can delay assessment or result in an additional request from the Labour Office.

New applicants provide the relevant information again after three months. The obligation to report the next assessment period is also described on the official public administration portal.

Special schedule for people moving from old benefits

People who transferred from the previous Czech benefit system follow special transitional rules in 2026. Their first Superdávka payment is made in August 2026 for July.

These recipients must provide income and housing-cost information again in October 2026 for July, August and September 2026. The current timetable was confirmed by the Labour Office in its updated 2026 guidance.

How to avoid problems with Jenda

Check that you have selected the correct months, included every household member and uploaded readable documents showing the amount, date and purpose of each payment.

After submitting the application, regularly check the tasks in Jenda. If the Labour Office cannot obtain information automatically, a new request for evidence may appear in your account.

The key is to prepare the correct three-month period, provide evidence for the entire household and complete every task shown in Jenda. Salary and some energy data may be verified automatically, while rental and payment documents often still need to be uploaded manually.
