What’s new in Apple Watch Series 12

One of the biggest upgrades is the new Health Sensing System. According to Apple, it combines new optical and electrical sensors with the S11 chip.

  • more frequent heart rate measurements;
  • more frequent heart rate variability (HRV) measurements;

Apple Watch will assess recovery and readiness

The new readiness score analyzes health data to help users understand how prepared their bodies are for physical activity. The information can be used to take recovery into account when planning workouts and everyday activity.

Apple is also preparing an updated Health app for iPhone featuring a Longevity section and a Health Age metric designed to compare a user’s health indicators with their chronological age.
